Terms of use
These terms apply when you use Seenbox, a service run by Seenbox in Kolkata, India. By using Seenbox you agree to them. If you use it for a business, you confirm you can agree on that business’s behalf.
The service
Seenbox lets you upload a contact list, write messages, send them from your own domain, and see what happened to each email. We may change or stop parts of the service. We will give notice of changes that significantly affect you.
Who you may email
You may email only people you have a genuine reason to contact, such as:
- your existing customers,
- people who have enquired, signed up or asked to hear from you,
- people personally referred to you, where your message is relevant to them,
- business contacts whose details are publicly listed for business use and whose business is relevant to what you offer.
You must be able to say where each address came from.
What is not allowed
- Purchased, rented, harvested or scraped email lists.
- Misleading subject lines, a false sender name, or hiding who you are.
- Phishing, malware, scams, or anything illegal.
- Messages promoting illegal goods or services, or fake or misleading claims about health, money, or results.
- Emailing someone again after they unsubscribe, or trying to get around the unsubscribe or suppression lists.
- Sending in a way meant to avoid our limits or checks.
Your duties as a sender
- Use a domain you own, and keep a mailbox that receives replies.
- Give your correct business name and postal address. We show them in every email.
- Follow the laws that apply to you and your recipients, including laws on spam and data protection.
- Answer complaints about your emails promptly.
How we protect sending
- Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes take effect at once.
- Addresses that bounce, complain or unsubscribe are removed permanently.
- New domains start with low daily limits that rise over time. We set a daily limit for each customer.
- We pause a campaign automatically if bounces reach 5% or complaints reach 0.1%. We may ask you to fix the cause before we resume it.
Suspension and ending
We may pause or end your use of Seenbox, with or without notice, if you break these terms, if we receive credible complaints, or if we must do so to protect other customers or our email providers. You may stop using Seenbox at any time and ask us to delete your data.
Your data
You keep ownership of your contact lists and your messages. You allow us to process them only to provide the service. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep Seenbox running, but we cannot promise it will always be available, that every email will reach an inbox, or that tracking is exact. Open tracking in particular is approximate. To the extent the law allows, Seenbox is not responsible for indirect or lost profits, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the problem.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Kolkata have jurisdiction.
