Email policy and unsubscribe
If you received an email sent through Seenbox
Businesses use Seenbox to write to their own customers and contacts. The email shows who sent it and their postal address. Seenbox is the service that delivers it for them.
- To stop emails from that sender: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. You will see a page with one button. Press it and you will not be emailed by that sender through Seenbox again. Many mail apps also show an “Unsubscribe” button next to the sender name, which works the same way.
- To report a problem or abuse: write to abuse@seenbox.in and include the email, or its full headers if you can. We reply within 2 working days, and we pause the sender while we look into it.

This is an invented example. Every Seenbox email shows the sender’s business name and postal address and has a working unsubscribe link.
What the email can record
An email may contain a very small image and links that pass through our server. They tell the sender whether the email was opened or a link was clicked. You can switch off automatic image loading in your mail app, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Rules every sender agrees to
- Write only to people they have a genuine reason to contact: their customers, people who enquired, and personal referrals. No purchased, rented or scraped lists.
- Use their own domain, with their real business name and postal address.
- Never email someone again after they unsubscribe.
- Send at a modest, steady pace. New domains start with a few emails a day.
What we do automatically
- Unsubscribes: take effect immediately and are kept permanently.
- Bounces: an address that does not exist is removed from all future sending for that customer.
- Spam reports: a person who reports spam is never emailed again by that customer.
- Problem rates: a campaign pauses by itself if bounces reach 5% or complaints reach 0.1%, and it stays paused until we have reviewed it.
- List checks: addresses with typos, domains that cannot receive mail and other bad addresses are removed before sending.
